Kintire FAQ

What is Kintire?

Kintire is a golf apparel brand from Holywood, County Down, Northern Ireland. It's built on 14 golf tribes drawn from Scottish clans and Irish counties. Golf reveals your tribe. The clothing lets you wear it.

What are the 14 golf tribes?

Seven Scottish: the Rebel (Clan MacLeod), the Strategist (Clan Campbell), the Standard Bearer (Clan Stuart), the Keeper (Clan Douglas), the Seer (Clan MacKenzie), the Conqueror (Clan Donald), the Defender (Clan Fraser).

Seven Irish: the Craftsman (County Down), the Ice Player (County Antrim), the Dreamer (County Galway), the King (County Kerry), the Warrior (County Mayo), the Outlaw (County Donegal), the Firebrand (County Cork).

How does the tribe quiz work?

11 questions about how you actually play golf. Your result shows straight away, no email required: your tribe, its clan or county, your superpower, your blind spot, and your rival. Take it at kintire.co/find-your-tribe.

Do I need Scottish or Irish ancestry to have a tribe?

No. The quiz decides membership. Heritage explains the tribe. It does not gatekeep it.

What is the Roll?

Each tribe keeps a roll, the register of its members. Every tribe gets its colours. The size of each roll decides the order. The first run of every tribe is numbered, and roll members get first access.

When can I buy Kintire?

When your tribe's roll earns it. Join the roll on your tribe's page and you will know first.

Where is Kintire based?

Holywood, County Down, Northern Ireland. The same town as the biggest name in golf.
